Golden Bear says it is in an optimistic mood after pre-audited figures for its year ending March 31st 2012, shows sales increasing by 100 per cent and overall profitability mirroring the numbers.
For the next year, the company is planning to add more properties to its licensed pre-school offering. Golden Bear also recently unveiled GB Toys - a new division. As such, the firm is forecasting more growth with a 30 per cent increase in sales for the year.
Barry Hughes, commercial director, commented: "We are delighted with the numbers coming through, especially as we are bucking the trend in what is otherwise challenging trading conditions.
"The success is down to the development of some great new product lines such as our Go Mini range and the new On Site collection for JCB. The new collections have seen us secure worldwide international deals along with many multi territory agreements for licensed collections such as Bananas in Pyjamas and Chloe's Closet.
"Most importantly, for our retail partners it has enabled us to invest more heavily in marketing support with even stronger TV and PR campaigns, meaning that the Golden Bear portfolio is one that can be stocked with the confidence of huge brand awareness."
Golden Bear also recently announced a partnership with Toys R Us for exclusive distribution of its My First JCB and Go MINI ranges in North America.
