Golden Bear Toys gave away toys at an Olympic Torch relay event at the Aintree Racecourse last week.

Chairman John Hales’ Grand National-winning horse Neptune Collonges greeted the Olympic Torch as it passed through, and 30cm Olympic plush toys were handed out to children in attendance.

Around 370 children were invited to the event on Friday, June 1st, from local schools and Alder Hey Hospital.

John Hales said: “I am incredibly proud to witness such an occasion in many ways. Not only owing to Neptune becoming a part of the torch relay, but as Olympic mascot producers, have we had a very personal involvement.

“The children here have shared this occasion with us and made it extra special, and we are delighted to be able to present them each with a mascot as a memento of their special day.”

Golden Bear Toys is producing an official line of London 2012 Olympic Games mascot toys.
