BBC Worldwide has revealed Golden Bear Toys to be its first-ever CBeebies master toy licensee.
The first range of CBeebies toys will be launched in autumn/winter 2014.
“CBeebies is a renowned brand in the UK and in other territories around the world, and is much loved by pre-schoolers and parents alike," said Clare Piggott, head of merchandising.
"We’re very excited to be working with Golden Bear on this collection of fun, entertaining and educational toys.”
Barry Hughes, Golden Bear Toys’ General Manager added: “We are delighted to be partnering with BBC Worldwide on its CBeebies brand.
"We have had great success recently with In The Night Garden, Something Special and Woolly & Tig – all popular programmes on the channel – so to add CBeebies toys to our 2014 portfolio is a logical and exciting extension. The Bugs are instantly recognisable and loved by pre-schoolers and we can’t wait to get our toys to market.”
CBeebies is the number one pre-school channel in the UK and has seven international versions in territories such as Africa, Poland, Australia and Latin America as well as magazines, live events, books, music, a website and apps.
In addition, a new themed area at Alton Towers called CBeebies Land will open to the public next year.
