The first step of the integration of Tomy Europe and RC2 Europe has begun, with Gary Hunter having been appointed as president of Tomy Europe.

Hunter has been in the toy industry for some 17 years and has been head of the RC2 international business for the past five years - during which time it has shown solid growth in both revenue and profit.

His first main role in the new position will be to integrate the European arms of both companies.

Tomy announced it was to acquire RC2 back in March.

Former Tomy Europe CEO Robert Mann has now left the company.
