A poll held by ToyNews on Stardoll has revealed that most girls are hoping to receive a Furby from Santa this Christmas.

The online fashion community for girls asked its users to pick just one toy that they’re hoping to get this Christmas, and the interactive furry pet from Hasbro came out on top, with 18.5 per cent of the vote.

In second place with 13 per cent was another Hasbro line - Twister Dance. The updated, electronic version of the classic party game lets girls dance to the beat of their favourite songs and is endorsed by Britney Spears.

It’s no surprise that users of Stardoll – the site in which girls get to dress up virtual MeDolls – voted Bandai’s fashion flavoured creative toy Harumika in third, with nine per cent.

Over 200 girls responded to Stardoll’s poll. Turn to page 30 to find out more about Stardoll, which now has over 200 million users.
