Funko hits Netflix this May with award-winning documentary, Making Fun - The Story of Funko

Pop culture specialist Funko is hitting Netflix next month as the focus of a special documentary feature, Making Fun – The Story of Funko.

Created by Eddie Grace Arts & film, the documentary has been awarded Best Documentary Feature Film by the San Diego Film Awards.

Making Fun – The Story of Funko takes a closer look at Funko’s fandom and the company’s approach to creating highly coveted collectables. For the past 20 years, Funko’s story has centered around the fans and the global community around it.

The film explores how pop culture has permeated all aspects of life on a global scale and will be made available to more than 125 million Netflix members globally in over 190 countries worldwide.

“It is an honour to receive the San Diego Film’s Best Documentary Feature Film award for Making Fun – The Story of Funko and to bring this story to viewers worldwide on Netflix,” said Brian Mariotti, CEO of Funko.
