As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations, Flair is looking to twin Sylvanian Families' home village with a real-life location in England.

The campaign - launched this week by Flair and Evolution PR - is to search for the village thought to have the most in common with Sylvania, with real-life counterparts to the most popular buildings, houses and characters.

The search will run throughout August and September, with the aim to officially twin the winning village by half-term in October.

As part of the judging criteria, residents most nominate their village by September 15th. Once all entries have been received, a shortlist will be created and official judges - including Freya Chocolate Rabbit - will visit the locations to decide which village feels the most like Sylvania.

"Twinning a UK village with Sylvania is just one of many fun campaigns we have in the pipeline for the anniversary year," said Holly Lackey, girls marketing manager at Flair. "The inspiration came when talking about how many people we knew who were just like the quirky Sylvanian Families characters, and the idea grew into a serious search for Sylvania.

"Villages and towns are continually twinning with all parts of Europe, so we hope that the nation will embrace this fun activity and seek to put their villages on the map as a little piece of Sylvania too."

Dedicated web pages and social media activity will support the twinning search, as well as covergae in local and national newspapers and children's press.
