GP Flair and Moose toys are celebrating the 1000th design of a Shopkin character with a limited edition figure gold figure, Jenny Penny.
The one-off figure is currently the subject of an eBay auction set up in support of the toy industry charity, the Toy Trust.
Now live, the Jenny Penny character auction has so far raised £1,045 and counting while YouTube celebrity Tiana from Toys And Me has been enlisted as the face of the event.
The auction will remain live for the next eight days, closing on July 9th. All proceeds from the auction are being donated towards the Toy Trust’s Big Cambridge Challenge.
Nic Aldridge, marketing director of Flair, said: “The Toy trust and its annual challenges are close to Flair’s heart and what better way to help boost fundraising than with a special auction of a one-off Shopkin.
“We are thrilled when our colleagues at Moose Toys agreed to this collaboration. In less than a day the auction had already leapt to over £1,000.”
Matt Jones, head of special events at the BTHA, added: “We are delighted with the initiative and inventiveness that Flair has shown with this limited edition auction.
“This special fundraising idea is an inspiration to other teams and will no doubt produce more creative ideas for the future.”
