Fisher-Price launches smart cycle to tackle obesity

Fisher-Price is hoping to get more pre-schoolers moving with the help of its new Think and Learn Smart Cycle.

First unveiled at CES in Vegas, the cycle is able to connect via Bluetooth to tablets or TVs and will boast learning apps that will focus on STEM, science, maths and social studies.

For example, one game dubbed Mission in Tech City, lets kids pick from a variety of animal characters and can move by pedalling forward of backwards, with the goal of the game being to pick up alphabets in the correct order.

Parents will also be able to monitor their child’s progress through the help of a Bluetooth-connected app.

The smart cycle will be available from June 2017 and is priced at $149.99.
