Spanish toy firm Famosa has struck a deal with Hasbro to develop a range of plush products based on iconic Hasbro brands including My Little Pony, Mr. Potato Head and Transformers.

My Little Pony Plush will be launched across Europe throughout the first quarter of this year. The range will include popular characters such as Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack and Twilightsparkle.

Further characters will be made available throughout 2014.

The My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic animated series is produced by Hasbro Studios and currently airs on the Hub Network in the US.

The partnership has also revealed that Transformers plush products will hit retail this summer.

Luis Benet, head of plush category, Famosa, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to continue to develop our collaboration with Hasbro which started in 2013 with the Furby plush line launch in the EMEA region, and which has just been extended for transforming some key brands in amazing plush collections including My Little Pony, Mr. Potato Head and Transformers.

"Hasbro has valued the quality of our products and the specialisation and professional skills of our team."
