Lego Duplo has unveiled its pre-Christmas marketing campaign plans, which feature a heavy focus on the preschool sector.
Duplo has stated that the theme of the campaign will be “Just the start they need”, and that it will be aimed at parents of children aimed 2 – 5 years.
The full scheme will focus on an eight week TV campaign starting on October 4th, a poster campaign running from October 25th to November 14th; and ongoing PR, social media and online campaigns highlighting the benefits of the products on offer.
“This pre-Christmas activity kicks off our long term marketing plans which continue into 2011,” said Lego Duplo senior director Fiona Wright.
“The campaign is our heaviest investment in Duplo for many years. The objective of the campaign is to explain the benefits of playing with Lego Duplo and show that there is more to it than bricks, with a range of themed building sets and licensed products including Disney Cars and Toy Story.”
