Spin Master is launching a new toy range based on the popular DreamWorks Dragons TV series currently airing on CBBC.

The new range will include both vikings and dragons of Berk including Toothless, Hiccup and others from the series inspired by How to Train Your Dragon.

“We are thrilled to be working with DreamWorks on such a wonderful property as Dragons,” said Phil Hooper, marketing director at Spin Master.

“Children have a real love for the characters which will only strengthen as the show captures more viewers.

"We have an exciting range of toys which we look forward to introducing in the coming weeks.”

The new line-up from Spin Master includes Mini Dragons, 7” Action Dragons, Dragon Buddies and a 10” Squeeze and Growl Toothless plush.

The range will also include role play products like the Giant Fire Breathing Toothless which fires glowing projectiles and a Transforming Shield that converts into a crossbow.

DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk arrived on the small screen in September and the next related project in the franchise is the big screen sequel How To Train Your Dragon 2, coming summer 2014.

“The Dragons franchise is evolving into a 365 day brand worldwide and Spin Master is helping to lead that charge at retail in support of our theatrical and television platforms," said DreamWorks Animation’s head of international licensing Jonathan Baker.

"This is an exciting achievement for arguably the hottest boys franchise around and coupled with the upcoming airing on BBC, kids will love the array of Dragons offerings.”
