DISNEY CONSUMER PRODUCTS: Christmas range unveiled

Disney Consumer Products revealed its product range for Christmas yesterday.

The company's press showcase in London included toys and games set to hit big for the festive season in boys, girls, tweens and pre-school categories.

The recent launch of the Wall-E movie is expected to translate into the company's biggest selling range this year, with robots and a range of other toys to choose from. Also set to be popular is the action figures and Deluxe Castle Playset from the Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian film. And still proving popular despite its launch over two years ago is Disney Cars. New additions include a Disney Cars Garage and a 6v car.

Girls products include a new range of Disney Fairies products to coincide with the release of CG animation, Tinker Bell in November. A Tea Kettle Set, Back Pack and Dress-Up Outfits are set to appeal to a range of age-groups.

High School Musical and Hannah Montana are set to remain firm favourites for tweens this year. Secret Pillows hiding secrets and diaries, Keyboards, Guitars and a High School Musical hair styling kit are all new for this year.

Winnie the Pooh and Little Einsteins ranges are designed to entertain and educate pre-schoolers. Highlights include Little Einsteins Learn and Discover Globe and a Let's Get Sleuthing Tigger plush.

A spokesman for the firm said: "We have a really strong range of movies and TV series from Disney this year, which translates into a fantastic range of toys, providing something for every child."
