Disney appoints consumer products general manager

Marvel Entertainment president Simon Philips now responsible for Disney licensed product.

Disney has appointed Simon Philips as general manager of consumer products EMEA.

In his previous role, as president of Marvel Entertainment International, Philips was responsible for targeting new businesses, and growing and increasing penetration of Marvel's existing businesses in EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

A Disney statement sent to ToyNews read: "We can confirm that Simon has been appointed General Manager of Consumer Products for The Walt Disney Company EMEA."
