The action comes just weeks after Hasbro announced it was acquiring the firm for $77.5 million.
According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission levels of lead paint contained in the die’s surface paint violates government standards.
The recall relates to the games with lot numbers 2007195 through to 2007244, which were manufactured in China and sold between October 2007 and January 2008.
The firm says its will replace the die free of charge.
Hasbro, which has publicised its clean record in relation to the recent run of recalls, expects to complete the acquisition during the 1st quarter of 2008.
