The lawsuit is the latest twist in a long running court suit regarding the ownership of the Bratz doll line.

Mattel believed that the latest suit duplicated allegations that had already been raised.

US District Judge David Carter said in the ruling that MGA’s claims against Mattel should have been, or might have been, raised in earlier lawsuits.

Carter, said it didn’t: "Appear impossible for MGA to allege anticompetitive conduct" after a cut-off date in August 2010 and gave the firm until November 11th to file an amended complaint to make those claims.
