The April 2013 edition of ToyNews is now available to read online and on your iPad.

The issue boasts the first interview with Simon Hedge since he took on the role of managing director of GP Flair. We talk about the firm's strong start to the year, the resurgent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and his plans to remain a top five top supplier.

We also talk to Argos' trading director for toys, freetime and jewellery, Marc Spence about his expectations for the toy market, plus there are supplier profiles on Schleich and Marbel.

This month's Anatomy of a Blockbuster Toy focuses on Mattel's Monster High, while we also highlight the top five countries where the most counterfeits were obtained in 2011, as part of our Fight the Fakes campaign.

We also welcome Toy Shop UK as the latest contributor to the magazine, joining Nickelodeon (which came on board in January to provide TV audience research), Dubit, NPD and Good Toy Guide.

You can also watch videos from Mattel, BoBo Buddies, Realism and Marvin's Magic.

Sector guides are boys, games and puzzles, puppets and halloween, magic and novelty.
