Warner Bros has named Character Group as the master UK toy partner for Looney Tunes.

As part of the new three-year deal, Character will develop construction playsets and micro-figures.

The firm will also develop and manufacture a new collection of motion sensor plush toys in addition to further traditional plush lines.

“It was our ambition to secure a master toy partner for each of our classic animated properties and this deal with Character, who have delivered huge success on Scooby-Doo, completes this toy strategy,” said Warner Bros consumer products GM Paul Bufton.

“Our focus now shifts to securing similar manufacturing and distribution partnerships in all key regional markets.”

The Character Group joint MD Jon Diver added: “The recent addition of Looney Tunes to our line up has further strengthened the long standing relationship we have with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. The Looney Tunes animated content is up there with the best and the new animation coming through complements perfectly with the classic favourites that we know and love.

“This, coupled with the innovation we are putting behind our product line up, will ensure that the collection we produce has global appeal.”
