Cartamundi’s CEO Chris van Doorslaer has scooped the title of Belgian Manager of the Year 2015.

The award, which is hosted by media business outlets Trends and kanaal Z, showcases Belgian mangers ‘who have distinguished themselves’ over the past year.

Doorslaer was chosen by a professional board of writers and business specialists, while members of the public were also invited to vote.

Doorslaer said: “This is without doubt my proudest achievement at Cartamundi, but I could never have achieved this alone.

“I consider this award as a feather in the cap of a strong and passionate Cartamundi team. We are now truly a one-stop shop which can today provide sustainable alternatives for our customers as well as long-term viability for our group.”

Other managers from various industries, including banking, food, pharmaceuticals and law, were also in the running for the award.

Trudi Bishop, head of marketing and licensing at Cartamundi Group, added: “2015 was both an exciting year and one of the most successful this company has known – and that is very much a tribute to Chris’s leadership. We are all thrilled that Chris has won this award.”
