Cartamundi has struck a deal with Morrisons and The Walt Disney Company UK & Ireland for summer sales promotion.
The seven-week summer promotion will run from July 11th to August 28th, with an estimated quarter of a billion collector cards being given away across supermarket shopping and participating products.
Every £30 spent will qualify for a free pack of cards, with additional packs also available by purchasing any one of 140 big brands in store.
Each pack contains seven Disney character cards, from Mickey Mouse to Buzz Lightyear. There are 99 cards to collect in total, divided into Disney character families. Collector albums will also be available in-store at £3.99.
The mechanic also includes 1,000 instant-win gold cards which entitle the holder to a two-night family stay at Disneyland Paris.
Richard Hodgson, Morrisons group commercial director said: “We wanted to run the biggest giveaway of the summer and give every one of our customers a chance to win a fantastic prize.
"We think our character cards should prove a smash hit with youngsters and just hope that there will be enough packs to cope with demand.”
A heavyweight media campaign has been confirmed to support the campaign, including a media promotion featuring a live launch weekend in a leading national newspaper; an integrated marketing campaign with TV and press advertising, outdoor advertising, online marketing, in-store point-of-sale material, a national consumer PR campaign and more.
