Playing cards and card games company Cartamundi has launched its new Star Wars playing card ranges.

Aimed at ages four upwards, the range includes two specially designed card packs, the first illustrated with stills from Episodes I to III and the second with stills from Episodes IV to VI.

Also available is a gift box designed in the shape of a Darth Vader mask housing a set of specially illustrated playing cards telling the story of Vader himself.

The first output in the new range will reach retail in July, with the entire range becoming available in December.

“Star Wars is a film series that has a powerful and enduring appeal,” said Trudi Bishop, head of marketing and licensing at Cartamundi Group.

“This range of card packs and gifts reflects that appeal and captures the excitement of the Star Wars name for a whole new generation.”
