Cartamundi launches first TV ad campaign for Shuffle

Advert will run on eleven major UK kids' channels, including Milkshake, Cartoon Network and Disney Jnr.

Cartamundi’s latest card playing concept, Shuffle, will be take the lead in the company’s first-ever retail focused TV advertising campaign.

Three 20 second adverts focusing on three games in the Shuffle range: Monopoly Deal, Transformers and My Little Pony will air on eleven major UK kids’ channels from August to December.

Milkshake, Cartoonito, Nick Jnr, Tiny Pop and Disney Jnr will show the My Little Pony version, while the Transformers and Monopoly Deal versions will broadcast on Cartoon Network, Pop, Kix, Disney XD, CITV and CITVB.

Each advert aims to highlight the excitement, ease of play and appeal of the Shuffle range to various age groups, while demonstrating the combination of playing card and digital technology, for a way to play card games with support from tablets and smartphones.

“TV advertising in the UK for a retail product is a new approach for Cartamundi,” said Trudi Bishop, head of marketing and licensing at Cartamundi Group.

“But Shuffle is a new approach to card playing, so we really want to shout about it. And where better than on some of the UK’s best known and best loved kids’ channels.”

Shuffle features a downloadable App, available form the Apple and Google Play stores, that adapted for each game allows numerous possibilities of digital card play, such as animating a shopping mall in Littlest Pet Shop, or bringing Chance cards to life in Monopoly Deal.
