The new Cabbage Patch Kids toys by Jakks Pacific were launched in the UK last weekend at Harrods' new Toy Kingdom.
A birthing centre within Kingdom saw Cabbage Patch babies delivered by a Licensed Patch Nurse. Those dolls were available for adoption for children at the event.
Ken Goodisson, marketing manager for Jakks Pacific said: "If the crowds seen at Harrods yesterday are anything to go by we expect Cabbage Kids to generate that same craze we saw in the 80s.
"It was great to see so much nostalgia for the brand from mums and parents, and it is this retro feel we believe will once again see Cabbage Patch Kids sell out for Christmas 2012."

The newly styled Cabbage Patch dolls sport an updated, fashion-forward array of clothes, accessories and interactive features, while still features that original generation of Cabbage Patchers will remember.
