Thomson Financial analysts estimate Mattel will earn 70 cents a share on revenue of $1.9 billion compared to 62 cents a share for the same period last year.
One analyst has suggested the lift will be due to purchases during summer, according to a report by Nasdaq.
The firm’s US sales in July and August have increased by more than three per cent compared to Q3 in 2006, the report also said.
Another analyst believes Mattel will show growth in its Fischer-Price brand and international markets.
Mattel will report its Q3 results on October 15.
