Breyer releases Olympic gold medal horse model

Horse model maker Breyer has announced the release of four new 1:9 scale model horses to the UK and Ireland markets.

At the front of the new lineup is London 2012 Olympic gold and bronze medallist Mistral Hojris (pictured). Nicknamed Alf, the horse also won three silver medals at the 2010 World Equestrian Games.

Commenting on the model, rider Laura Bechtolsheimer said, “The Olympics have been thrilling, and I’m so proud to have been part of this historic team. I can’t wait for dressage fans all over the world to have their very own Alf.”

Coming in October is Zenyatta’s First Colt. Born in March this year, his mother was the first filly to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic and also won 19 races in a 20 race career.

Next up, Totilas is a top level dressage horse and the first to score over 90 in any dressage competition, winning three gold medals and a silver at the 2009 European Dressage Championships. Totilas will be available in December.

Also available is Black Caviar, Australian Champion Thoroughbred racehorse, unbeaten in 22 race starts is the highest rated sprinter in the world. The £42.99 model will be limited to 250 pieces in the UK and Ireland, making it a collectors piece.
