The appointment is part of the US equestrian model maker’s plans to accelerate its expansion in Europe.

Mills has recently completed the successful transition of Breyer's UK operations to distributor Treasure Trove and will retain an involvement with Breyer in this country, supporting existing relationships, while continuing to build the brand across Europe.

Commenting on his appointment, Mills said: "I am delighted to take on this wider remit and am extremely confident of exploiting the fantastic potential Breyer has in the horse-loving countries of Europe. I am also looking forward to helping further develop the Breyer brand in this country."
