BLE 2010: Nickelodeon inks photo kiosk deal

Partnership with Hewlett-Packard to see Nickelodeon properties turned into photo products

Nickelodeon Consumer Products president announced today at Brand Licensing Europe an innovative business partnership with technology titan Hewlett-Packard – that will offer consumers photo products featuring Nickelodeon’s renowned properties.

The deal, which runs until the end of 2012, allows consumers to use self-service in-store digital printing kiosks (powered by Hewlett-Packard) to produce creative photo products such as posters, photo cards, photo books, calendars and flip books. 

Key to the deal is what Nickelodeon brings, with the photo products splashed with the group’s renowned range of cartoons, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, iCarly and The Wonder Pets.

The kiosks are already in various stores across the US, with plans afoot to expand to other stores across the States next year. The kiosks will launch internationally this year, hitting Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, before an extended global roll-out in 2011.

Major UK retailers, such as Asda and Tesco, are in on the deal.
