Under the new agreement, Bandai and its international partners will create and distribute products worldwide based on both the classic brand property, as well as Cartoon Network’s fresh take on the animated series, set to air in 2011.

A new animated series, based on the iconic 1980s action classic, ThunderCats, is currently in production at Warner Bros Animation. The new series is aimed at fans of the original series, as well as newcomers to the franchise.
