Originally designed for the first weekend of the Easter holidays, the decision has been taken to keep the play area open until Monday April 25th.
The play area will continue to feature Armouron, as well as Tinga Tinga Tales plush and goody bags including colouring in and activity sheets provided by Bandai.
The play area has also proved popular in the media – featuring in a news piece on Heathrow airport on ITV London Tonight.
Nick Cullen, COO of Heathrow said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the response the play area has had - from both parents and children.
"In light of this, it only seemed right to extend the play area for the whole of the holiday period so all families travelling this Easter can enjoy its benefits.”
Andrew Welch, product manager for boys brands at Bandai UK added: “It was fantastic to run some direct to consumer activity at Heathrow and a great opportunity to see how children interact with some of our key lines.
"Armouron was a definite hit with girls and boys alike dressing up and getting involved in some pre-flight play before setting off for their holidays.”
