Attacknids, aka 'The Greatest Toy in the Universe', has been tipped by Hamleys to be a top toy this year, after making a late entry to the retailer's Christmas list PR day.

Attacknids are ten inch tall battling robots which shot to fame after inventor Jaimie Mantzel unveiled the toy in his video ‘Greatest Toy in the Universe’ which amassed over two million views in just three days earlier this year.

Each Attacknid comes with combat armor that explodes off when hit, and has a battle brain which shuts the robot down after three impacts. For attack, the bots have interchangeable weapons and attachments, some of which will be sold seperately.

Richard North, CEO of Wow Stuff commented: "Having this support from Hamleys is fantastic and makes all the hard work the team have put into developing the product worthwhile.

"We aim to make great, innovative toys and that’s something we know we’ve done with the Attacknids. The instant response that we’ve got from people on the Attacknids is really exciting."
