On the back of a tremendous start to the year, which saw it walk away with the coveted Toy of the Year gong at the TIA awards at NY Toy Fair, Bakugan is making the move into video games.

Nelvana Enterprises has struck a deal with Activision to create games for Nintendo DS and Wii systems, plus Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3.

"Bakugan's success in 2008 speaks for itself and we're confident it will be even bigger in 2009," said Activision's David Oxford.
