In a move to encourage the musical talents of youngsters, some of the music industry's biggest producers, musicians and composers have united to create Zeamu Music, a music label just for children.

The Zeamu songs feature age relevant lyrics for its target audience of four to 11 year olds with a mix of styles from pop to hip hop to ballads.

Sung by childen, the songs are set in the world of the Zeamus, a collection of animated characters set against a real world backdrop.

Brain child of psychologist Barbara Bishop, the collaborative project includes the likes of Jonothan Pilcher (Lana Del Ray, Athlete) and Grammy nominated Owen Parker (Girls Aloud, Pet Shop Boys and Simple Minds).

Zeamu co-founder, Fi Case, said: "This year has seen some really exciting developments for Zeamu with uptake by kids and parents of its digital offering on our website as well as via our social media channels including YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

"We will be presenting the brand at MIP Junior and at Brand Licensing Europe this year. After that, we are preparing for a fully supported digital launch in the summer of 2014.

"During this period, production will commence on 26 11-minute episodes so that, by 2015, the brand will have a strong broadcast base to support a fully integrated licensing programme."
