The Zing Air Z-Curve Launcher starred on last week's episode of Friday Download, to the delight of the toy's UK distributor Wind Designs.

Friday Download - the BBC's hip end of week show where tweeny kids regularly test out toys - had its presenters use the bow in an archery challenge. Click here to watch.

Speaking to ToyNews, Phil Jones, managing director of Wind Designs, said: "Having our products featured on CBBC's Friday Download is fantastic as the tournament showed the fun that can be had with the Z-Curve Launcher."

Things are shaping up well for the product. In addition to the Friday Download apperance, Jones is expecting a lift in demand for the Z-Curve Launcher when the London 2012 archery events get underway, and said that The Hunger Games – in which the main character Katniss weilds a bow – had also raised awareness.

The Z-Curve Launcher was also named by kids as the best Blaster at the Toyology Outdoor Toy Awards.
