Zapf CEO quits

German doll maker Zapf Creation's CEO, George Kellinghusen, has resigned from the company, after only six months in charge.
Publish date:

The firm didn't disclose why the decision, which was announced by its supervisory board, was made or what prompted it. The resignation was effective immediately.

Kellinghusen (pictured) was named CEO in June and had been chief financial officer since February. Zapf Creation said that Thomas Pfau, the company's chief marketing and sales officer, would fill both positions on an interim basis until a replacement was found.

MGA stake clouds Zapf deal

The acquisition of an 18 per cent stake in Zapf Creation by Bratz manufacturer MGA, has cast some doubt on Bandai’s much vaunted purchase of the German doll maker.
