A fresh summer marketing campaign will help make more parents aware of the edible Yummy Dough product.
Maps Toys has appointed Global Media Services to launch the online and TV ad campaign which starts this August. There will also be competitions and email campaigns.
The firm says the marketing push comes following Yummy Dough’s success in 2011, and will also help support UK distribution this year.
It says the activity will highlight Yummy Dough’s unique appeal, as well as its ‘safety and educational value’. New Yummy Dough play-sets are due to launch soon.
“Yummy Dough is a fantastic way for children and parents to enjoy the complete experience that modelling dough can offer, in a safe and fun way,” said Maps Toys head of sales Will Sharman.
“We have had an excellent response from the trade, which has been amplified by being the only edible modelling dough available. It has shown retailers and parents alike that there is better play value and a safer alternative available in the market in comparison to what the traditional modelling doughs can offer.
“Parents are becoming more safety conscious and are much more aware of the ingredients in these type of products, especially when it is almost inevitable that children will put things in their mouth. We are able to offer peace of mind and a fun, safe solution that children absolutely love.”
