Based in central Cologne, the 1,500 sq ft office includes showroom space and will be headed up by account manager Torsten Gryska.

He will be responsible for developing the business in German, Austrian and Swiss territories. The newly opened premises will enable MYI to provide faster, more effective customer service to these regions.

After the successes of Bob the Builder and Fireman Sam in Germany, the new German operation will be looking to grow the licenses further as well as open up opportunities with other licences.

Commenting on the opening, Gryska said: "Cologne is a perfect location for the new branch because it is next to a lot of business partners and also a good starting point to reach other partners more effectively. We now have the ability to offer more efficient service within Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The course has been set for an interesting and successful future"
