The new book by Jason Bradbury, presenter of Channel Five’s Gadget Show, will be launching at the Apple Store in Regent Street London this month.

Bradbury will be joined on stage by several of WowWee’s robotic creations, including Tribot, Bladestar and RS Media.

Following the launch, the two companies have planned a year-long campaign, with WowWee providing prizes for an on-book competition to design a robot.

WowWee will supply the author with product for his Robot Roadshows to run at major retailers throughout the year. Bradbury will read from his book at the Roadshows and kids will be able to play along with WowWee’s classic robots and latest inventions.

Graham Spark, UK sales director for WowWee, commented: “We’re delighted to be working with Jason and Puffin Books on the Dot Robot launch. Jason really knows his robots and we’re sure the book will create an army of robot fans.”

Bradbury, a gadget and technology expert, has tested some of the world’s biggest and most successful gadgets often in exotic and dangerous situations.

Dot Robot is the first book in a techno-thriller trilogy, and tells the story of Jackson Farley, a schoolboy recruited by a top-secret crime-fighting agency, which captures criminals all over the world with the help of specially designed state of the art robots.
