Wow Toys bolsters sales team

Firm appoints David Foster as head of international sales and Ellen Heathershaw as account manager.

Foster will be based in London, taking responsibility for all international sales (all markets outside of the UK).

The new recruit has spent 20 years working with Hasbro Europe and Hasbro International, including ten years as director of emerging and developing markets, working with Central European, Gulf Region, Asia Pacific, India & African Emerging Markets.

Nadim Ednan- Laperouse MBE, the managing director of Wow Toys said: “We are really excited to have David join our growing team.

"We saw significant sales growth in 2009 in the UK and in our international business and with David’s wealth of international sales experience, we are now able to push forward and develop the global growth of our Wow business in 2010 and beyond.”

Commenting on his appointment, Foster said: “I am really looking forward to the challenge of driving the International growth of this great pre-school brand, Wow Toys are unique and special, designed in the UK to a high standard and there is clearly a great opportunity to establish this quality brand globally.”

Ellen Heathershaw has also recently joined the company as account manager. Heathershaw has over thirty years experience in the toy industry with over ten years at Playmobil as territory manager.

She has looked after a number of field and key accounts with previous companies including roles with Britains, Dakin and Russ Berry. Heathershaw was also the recipient of the industry award, the Golden Teddy two years ago.
