Wonderworld's Tree Plus Project returns for seventh year
DKL is aiming to make Wonderworld's Tree Plus Project the biggest yet in 2013, as it returns for its seventh year.
This will be the second year that DKL has been involved with the initiative. It will host the social media campaign for people to like, tweet or share - and for every one of those actions, Wonderworld will plan a tree.
Updates of the project's growth will be posted regularly, including pictures, blog posts and tweets all linking to Wonderworld UK stockiests to create consumer buzz.
In 2012, Wonderworld planted 17,200 new trees in the Thai Forest, with DKL's social media followers helping to contribute an additional 651 trees by getting involved online.
This year, Wonderworld has committed to planting 17,777 trees, as well as giving DKL a target of getting 777 social media interactions to convert into new trees.
"It's not every day people have the opportunity to get involved in a fantastic cause and make a difference to the environment at the click of a button," said David Allan, sales director at DKL. "We hope to involve as many Wonderworld stockists as possible, with the aim to raise brand and retailer awareness."
