The Eco Vehicles Top Trumps game, developed by climate change charity Marches Energy Agency, has replaced Porsches and Ferraris with hybrids and electric motors.
The winning features of the game have changed too, from engine size and horsepower to fuel efficiency and the lowest CO2 emissions.
The new product is being partly funded by the European Union and is supported by Toyota, Honda, Blooming Futures, Organic Power, The GreenBus, and Vectrix.
However, the conversion has angered some motoring writers.
Kris McGowan, senior project manager at Marches Energy Agency said: "Eco Vehicles Top Trumps is a fun and entertaining way to educate youngsters about the new range of climate friendly options available for transport.”
Carl Cliss, director Top Trumps, added: "The Eco Vehicles Top Trumps pack is a great adaptation of our brand. It looks great and I certainly learned a lot from playing it. I think it will go down very well, with children and adults alike."
