Winning Moves launches Monopoly Leeds promotion

Firm joins forces with Real Radio to promote its latest regional version of Monopoly.

In a UK first, Real Radio listeners will be able to win the chance of having their street featured on the new official Monopoly game for Leeds in an exclusive space on the new board.

Winning Moves spokesman, Graham Barnes commented: "It's the very first time we have done something this unique on our regional boards."

Votes for the design of the new regional board have attracted thousands of public nominations since being announced earlier this year.

City landmarks will fill all but one of the customised streets which has now been reserved for a residential street, the winner of the competition.

Ricky Durkin, Real Radio programme director, said: “We are delighted not only to have our own space on this iconic game, but to give our listeners the chance to win a space too named after a Leeds street that they know.

"It may be their own, a friends, relatives or even a workplace. This is truly a money can’t buy prize”.

The game, licensed by Hasbro, will hit shelves late October. Around thirty city favorites will occupy the multi-coloured sites and landmarks which originally featured on the London board.
