Wickham departs as Tomy restructures

Sales director Ian Wickham has left Tomy, as part of a restructure of its sales operation.
Publish date:

As part of the reshuffle the firm will shortly be announcing the appointment of a European Commercial Director for Tomy UK.

The new role will be specifically tasked with building a European focussed sales group that compliments the European Finance, Marketing and Operation structures that have been established over the last three years.

European boss Robert Mann explained: "A key objective will be to create a European trading platform which will bring clarity to our pricing, ranging and trading partnerships across Europe, whilst maintaining focus on strengthening our core UK business domestically and through an FOB programme."

Within the UK, the business will continue to be developed through identified Commercial Sectors these include Grocery headed by Derren Plows, Mass headed by Guy King and Specialist headed by Tim Ives

"This consolidation will improve our business processes and increase production efficiencies which will go some way on reducing the impact of price increases being experienced from our Far East sources," added Mann.

Whilst incorporating this new structure the role of UK Sales Director becomes redundant and Ian Wickham has left Tomy.
