Wesco will be welcoming customers, retailers and distributors to the Kowloon showroom, based in the Sheraton Hotel, to view the new products for 2009. This move also sees Wesco opt-out of Spring Fair for the first time in two decades.

Buyers who would usually meet up with the company at Spring Fair will be invited to visit to the Knutsford showroom, or to meet at another suitable venue.

“After 20 years, the decision to not exhibit at Spring Fair was a tough one. However, retailers finalise their Autumn/Winter selections earlier each year and the timing of Spring Fair is no longer relevant for at least half of our customers.

“We have therefore made the tactical decision to set up a showroom in Hong Kong, enabling us to meet with our key UK partners one month earlier, as well as the many international distributors with whom we have successfully traded in 2008.”

An array of new products will be on display in Hong Kong, including additions to existing lines, as well as the launch of four new branded ranges based on new properties joining the portfolio for 2009 – Top Gear, Primeval, Hello Kitty and Mr Men & Little Miss.
