The show will see life-changing money up for grabs every weekday afternoon on ITV. A well-known comedian (understood to be Jasper Carrott) will host the brand new 40 episode x 60 minutes series.

One hundred ‘golden balls,’ concealing different cash amounts are up for grabs. Players must try to find and hang on to the balls containing huge sums of money. But they also need to avoid the dreaded ‘killer balls’, which can turn pounds into pennies within seconds.

The game of luck, intuition and barefaced bluff will be translated by Vivid into an Electronic Board Game due to launch in October, retailing at around £19.99 and will be supported by an extensive PR and viral marketing campaign.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Endemol on such a high profile game show,” said Emma Sherski, Vivid’s marketing and licensing director. “With a forecast of 80,000 units across the UK and Eire for Q4 07, Golden Balls will hopefully give retailers an additional boost in games sales following in the footsteps of last year’s hit Deal or No Deal”

Golden Balls is produced by Initial, an Endemol company and will launch on ITV 1 in summer 2007.
