Vivid celebrating strong launch for Moshi Monsters Series 7

Launch of latest wave of collectables was best yet, according to retail feedback.

The launch of Series 7 in Vivid Imaginations' Moshi Monsters Collectables line has been the best yet, according to retail feedback.

The new series - which includes 16 new Moshi Monsters characters - hit shelves on July 26th and is being backed with a TV, PR and social media campaign.

"We are really pleased with the launch of Series 7 Moshi Monsters," said Laura Metcalfe, girls buying manager at Tesco. "Both the blind bags and collector packs are extremely strong performers for Tesco, and I believe that Series 7 is the strongest Moshi launch that we have had this year.

"Indications show the strength of Moshi sales and momentum will carry through autumn/winter."

Neil Bandtock, Vivid UK MD, added: "This is a great result. With Moshi still tracking as the number one property in 2013 this successful launch is the best start we could have hoped for the autumn/winter product range."

Series 2 of the Moshi Monsters figures are set to launch on August 23rd, followed by Series 8 of the Moshi Monsters Collectables during October half term.
