Visitor numbers soar at Toy Russia

Attendance at this year's show increased by 25 per cent.

This year's visitor numbers to the Moscow exhibition rose to 6,273 from 4,997 in 2009.

The share of trade visitors also increased to 84 per cent from 77 per cent a year ago.

For the first time, Spielwarenmesse organised the international pavilion at Toy Russia as part of its international fair programme, Word of Toys.

The World of Toys pavilion housed 11 exhibitors from China, Germany, France, UK, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain and Cyprus.

The show is organised by RNTA Expo, a joint subsidiary of Spielwarenmesse and the Russian National Toy Association (RNTA).

Next year's show takes place from March 15th-18th 2011.
