Hornby Hobbies Ltd slot car brand Scalextric is sponsoring a brand new TV show on Sky Sports F1.

The show, Britain's Next F1 Star, is a 30-minute documentary series that follows six young aspiring F1 drivers on the hunt for their dream job.

It airs this Thursday, October 4th, at 7.30pm, and will run for six weeks. Sky Sports F1 can be found on channel 408.

Scalextric’s marketing manager Paul Chandler said: "This is the perfect TV sponsorship campaign for Scalextric and a great opportunity for us to support this elite group of up-and-coming F1 stars.

"The Scalextric brand has, at some level, inspired the majority of top race drivers for over 50 years; bringing affordable racing into the homes of generations and, in turn, introduced the fundamental skills of racing."
