The Queen’s Treasures has debuted its first official Little House on The Prairie doll.

Forming part of a doll line spotlighting 'women who changed the world', the 18-inch doll resembles Little House on The Prairie's Laura Ingalls.

“My favorite author as a child was Laura Ingalls Wilder”, said Joann Cartiglia, founder and president of The Queen’s Treasures.

“Laura Ingalls-Wilder lived a life that most children could never imagine and successfully wrote a series of books during early part of the 1900’s that are still popular today. That is an amazing accomplishment."

Launching in July with a retail price of $99, the doll boasts painted features, vinyl shoulders with a soft body and a host of accessories.

Other dolls in the firm's 'women who changed the world' line include a Salvation Army Doughnut Girl and a range of doll clothes, furniture and accessories inspired by the work of Dr. Jane Goodall.

“We want children to be inspired by these amazing women and create dreams of changing the world, themselves.” added Cartiglia.

“We can do anything we set our minds to. As a person who grew up in a blue-collar family and having no formal” education, I can tell you that you can make anything happen - if you want to. I want little girls to think about things other than phones, computers and all the electronic trappings of todays’ society: and encourage them to use 'human' power to change the world for the better."
