US: Kids Preferred to launch The Gruffalo plush

The Sharpe Company scoops company to act as plush licensee for North America.

Sharpe, which represents The Gruffalo in North America on behalf of Magic Light Pictures, has also signed University Games for games and puzzles.

Laura Perks, vice president of marketing for Kids Preferred, commented: “The Kids Preferred team is pleased and excited to bring The Gruffalo characters to life with our toys.

“Millions of children and their parents know and love this magical tale about a courageous and quick-thinking mouse and the monster he invents to save his life.”

Charlie Day, president of Sharpe, said: “We are thrilled to have both Kids Preferred and University Games as licensees.

“We have only just begun to realise the potential of this fast-growing classic property.”
