The Jakks agreement comes hot on the heels of MEG's recent partnership deal with Cartoon Network, for the broadcast of the animated show, Puppy In My Pocket Adventures in Pocketville, on Boomerang.

Jakks Pacific will be the North American distributor for the toy range, which features collectable figures, accessories, play-sets and plush, and is expected to start shipping to retailers nationwide in spring 2012.

As part of the deal, Jakks also secured North American distribution rights to the core In My Pocket brand, which is based on the classic Puppy In My Pocket Brand from MEG.

Joe Morrison, CEO of MEG stated: "We are very pleased to have a company of Jakks’ stature representing Puppy In My Pocket in North America. Puppy In My Pocket is MEG’s flagship brand, and the new partnership with Jakks Pacific puts the property in the hands of a world-class distributor capable of taking the brand to new heights.

"Quite literally, the Puppy (brand) has come back home to Jakks after a hiatus of two years, as Jakks distributed the brand in the US very successfully for several years up to 2009. We are very excited to work with Jakks once again and expect to make it an even bigger success this time around."

"Puppy In My Pocket is an evergreen brand with a proven history at retail, even without entertainment,” said Jeremy Padawer, executive vice president of marketing, Jakks Pacific.

"With content slated to run on Boomerang, the property is poised for even bigger success. We are looking forward to working with MEG and their production partners to take the brand to the next level."
